Italian history has never taken a back seat. Italy has always had a big importance in every single event human beings can remember. From the colonization of Europe and the foundation of cities like London and Paris by the Romans, the discovery of America by Colombo and Asia by Marco Polo, the Reinessance in Florence with Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raffaello, the foundation of the Empire and colonization of Africa by Mussolini to the birth of the European Union in Rome, Italy has never stopped having a main role in worldwide history.

Italy can offer an incredibly large range of cars. Italian technology and design have prooved to be the best in the world and have always been taken as an example for foreign carmakers. FIAT is the first carmaker in Europe and its cars have been awarded the "European car of the year" prize for 7 times (nobody did better). Alfa Romeo and Lancia are prestiogious ones and the standard of their cars is always considered to be among the best. The real feature of Italian car production is the presence of carmakers like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and Bugatti, known all over the world. However, talking about Italian cars, nobody usually mentions Ital Design. With its 80 models and its 20 million cars circulating all over the world, it is certainly the first and largest car designing industry ever existed (VW Golf and Lotus Esprit are among the most popular).
